| The City of Marinette's valuation in 1925 was $13,315,000; in 1926 it increased by $18,000 to $13,333,000 leading Charles Goodman, President of Sawyer-Goodman Lumber Co. and Francis Brown past President of the Marinette Chamber of Commerce to suggest that the City hire a consultant to take an economic survey of the community. |

| MISSION STATEMENT The Marinette County Association for Business and Industry (MCABI) serves as the central resource to the County's business community for the purpose of fostering the economic development of Marinette County. We promote the County and it's way of life and work to expand and enhance the economic base of the county by retaining and attracting businesses. VISION STATEMENT The vision of MCABI is to advance the prosperity of Marinette County, so that it's citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper. All means shall be given the economic, tourism, commercial, industrial, and educational interest of the area. The work of MCABI shall include. To provide meaningful employment opportunities. • To coordinate a set of infrastructure plans to support economic development. • To plan and guide the development of a diverse economic base. • To coordinate the educational resources throughout the county in support of the needs of area employers. • To find balance between economic development (including economic diversification) and the protection of our rich natural resources. |
