Reborn and Growing Strong
"The City Reborn from the Ashes of America's Most Disastrous Forest Fire" in 1871. Today Peshtigo stands tall as one of the friendliest, most industrious small towns in the midwest.

Peshtigo is easily one of the most industrious small cities around, with a popular, fast growing industrial park, progressive financing and support programs and a renowned local workforce.

Like the wild fire of 1871, Peshtigo's economy is ablaze with new industry and opportunity, thanks to the success of a recently-opened, rapidly-expanding industrial park. Sewer, water and paved streets will be furnished as development takes place. Natural gas and electricity are available at some of the lowest rates in the Midwest. Land will be subdivided to meet your needs.

Village of Coleman & Area
The Coleman area was originally inhabited by the Algonquin Indians, a part of the Menominee Indian branch.

The tribe was best known for their trading center, located on the river between the present day cities of Marinette and Menominee.  From 1870 until the turn of the century, four distinct settlements of Scandinavians, French, German and Polish settlers made up the village.  Many of these people migrated to the area after the famous Peshtigo Fire of 1871.

From these modest beginnings more than 100 years ago the area has grown  to be an important part in every aspect of Marinette County, and this quaint community represents the epitome of small town life... quiet, stable, endearingly serene.

Town of Goodman & Area
Goodman town is a beautiful region, with a rich and interesting history.

It is named for R.B. Goodman, whose innovative lumber practices put the area on the map, so to speak.  It now offers the fruits of selective thinning in the early days of the lumber mills, with large stands of many varieties of trees.  Lake Hilbert is a "must see."

Village of Crivitz & Area
Located in the Town of Stephenson, Crivitz is referred to as the Gateway to Wisconsin's "Canadian Wilderness."
With over two hundred and fifty square miles of all season vacation land, which includes the Peshtigo River, High Falls, Caldron Falls, Johnson Falls, Lake Noquebay, and Crooked Lake.

Over 6,000 acres of clean water.  With it's extensive recreational facilities, this area has become famous for its desirable vacation and outing advantages.

The Village of Crivitz purchased the property with the intent of creating a retail business park. The goal of the park is to promote development by providing improved properties at a reasonable price to developers.

The park is named in honor of the first Village President, Paul Dyer.  Another street in the park is named in honor of past Village President, Mary A. Wisner.

Development of the property includes roadway construction, curb, gutter, storm sewer, sidewalks, on-street parking, street lighting, electric, natural gas and municipal water and sewer.

Tourism and Outdoor Sports
In the spring of 1883, John S. Monroe bought 160 acres of land to build a mill and supply the railroads with lumber for bridges and culverts.

The lumber mills first attracted the people, but as the mills left, farmers came and changed the local economy to an agrarian one. Only recently is farming being replaced by small industries and tourism.

The Village and town of Wausaukee have evolved into a community with over eighty businesses that provide diverse services, manufacturing and final assembly jobs.

Tourism and outdoor sports related activities are a very large part of the local economy because of the proximity to state and county natural resources. Campgrounds, motels, resorts, vacation homes and acreage offer the non-resident an opportunity to enjoy our lovely area.

The village and town boast over 1,500 residents year round with an increase in population for our many distinctive seasons and recreational opportunities.
